Ruth Olson is a certified Portrait Artist with more than 30 years of photo experience. Ruth attended Winona International School of Professional Photography, Northwood University and Henry Ford Community College and has been a member of the PPA and DPPA since 1975. Ruth is well-known in the southeast michigan area for her creative portraiture, keeping up to date with new technology, client demand, and always providing elegant, award-winning classic portraits. She has founded a studio based around a professional as well as a personable atmosphere, and satisfaction for customers generation after generation. Ruth graduated from Garden City High School. |

Vanessa McCauley - Photographer

Vanessa has been with Ruth Olson Photography since 1994. She has a Bachelors degree of Fine Arts with a concentration in Photography from Wayne State University. At the Studio, Vanessa's specialty is senior portraits, but you will also find her helpful in consulting with you to achieve the style of portrait desired and the final selections for your portrait order. Being with the studio for many years, she is very knowledgeable in most aspects of the studio, including photographing, ordering, sittings, etc. Vanessa graduated from Plymouth Salem High School. |

Julia Bartel - Photographer

Julia has been with Ruth Olson Photography since 2000. She is currently attending Washtenaw Community College in pursuit of a A.A. in Photographic Technology.
At the Studio, Julia specializes in senior portraits. She aids individuals in choosing from a traditional to high fasion portrait, achieving the best fit for your personal style. She is also very helpful and experienced in selecting backgrounds that coordinate with your outfits. Additionally, Julia also manages yearbook pictures and is the head of brochure design. Julia graduated from Northville High School. |

Terry has been with Ruth Olson Photography since 2004. He is currently attending Washtenaw Community College in pursuit of a A.A. in Photographic Technology.
At the Studio, Terry photographs outdoor portraits for senior sessions. He also works with new digital concepts to keep us up-to-date with the latest techniques and styles. Terry graduated from Westland John Glenn High School. |

Amber Carpentier - Studio Assistant

Amber has been with Ruth Olson Photography since 2007. She is currently attending Wayne State University in pursuit of a B.F.A. in Photography. At the Studio, Amber photographs outdoor portraits for senior sessions, in addition to assisting the photographers during photoshoots. Amber also aids in the digital retouching process and is our yearbook manager. Amber graduated from Garden City High School. |

Jamie Laymon - Studio Assistant

Jamie has been with Ruth Olson Photography since January of 2007.
She is currently attending South Lyon High School. At the Studio, Jamie assists the photographers in creating the best look possible by making sure each individual looks their best during the photoshoot. Jamie is currently working towards a high school diploma. |

Kevin Foreman - Web Developer
| Kevin has been with Ruth Olson Photography since 2005. He is currently attending Lawrence Technological University in pursuit of a B.S. in Computer Science. Kevin also writes Electronica music, which can be found at DJKev.com At the Studio, Kevin is the lead developer of the Ruth Olson Photography website. With his A+ and Net+ Certifications, Kevin also builds, fixes, and maintains the Stuido's computers and networks. Additionally, using Adobe Photoshop, he retouches and enchances portraits. Kevin graduated from Livonia Franklin High School. |

Ian Beals - IT Administrator
Ian has been with Ruth Olson Photography since 2005. He is currently attending Eastern Michigan University in pursuit of a B.B.A. in International Business with a concentration in Finance. At the Studio, Ian works with Adobe Photoshop to retouch and enchance portraits. He also develops flash content for the website. Additionally, he fixes and maintains the Studio's computers and networks with the knowledge he obtained from his A+ and Net+ Certifications. Ian graduated from Livonia Franklin High School. |

Evan Pipta - Digital Artist

Evan has been with Ruth Olson Photography since the winter of 2007. He will be attending College for Creative Studies in fall of 2008. At the Studio, Evan works with Flash to develop content for the website. Additionally, he uses Adobe Photoshop to develop collages and other media, as well as digitally enhance portraits. Evan graduated from Henry Ford Academy. |
